Who is this young man with a look of steely determination in his eye?
I mean the horse, by the way.
Now, he wasn’t born TruLuck. He was born C L’s Luck, in the great state of Oklahoma, and bless him, he was anything but lucky at the racetrack. The best that could be said for him was “never close,” – from the chart of his last of four starts, a $7,500 claimer at Remington Park. That being said, he did bring home $89 in earnings.
TruLuck comes from the kind of hard-knock family that don’t make it into Kentucky Derby specials. His dam, Grayfully, won only $40. His full brother, Thermo Baba, managed to win just one race, in a 4 furlong contest at Blue Ribbon Downs, a now-shuttered Oklahoma track. (I’d like to know where Mr. Thermo Baba went next, but I couldn’t find his name anywhere else.)
TruLuck’s probably greatest attribute is that he does want to do things well and he wants to please and he’s quite trainable.”

I’ll take several, please.
